We might be able to take our first look at The Sims 4’s new magical wonderland thanks to images shared by MoonshineSim. The screencaps appear to be a glimpse into the three new neighbourhoods of Innisgreen, the ‘beautifully lush world where Sims live in harmony with nature’, that’s due to arrive with the new Enchanted By Nature Expansion Pack.
The post suggests that the images come from an EA press release email relating to June 5th’s road map, where the title and release date for the new pack were confirmed. The image has since circulated on social media sites like Reddit.
The neighbourhoods line up with what we expected for Enchanted By Nature’s new world
The images certainly seem to track with what we know about each of Innisgreen’s areas based on the official teaser site, somethingisgrowing.com. The site describes each neighbourhood as:
- A quiet waterfront town where they’re all about Gnomes.
- A grove where nature and civilisation blend together.
- An enchanting magical forest.
They pretty much seem to cover each area of the graphic from left to right. The lines are maybe a little blurry when it comes to which one is the grove and which one is the forest, but they still all broadly fit the bill. Especially the town that seems to hinge on Gnome worship.
Other parts of the potential press image also seem to track with what we know about Enchanted By Nature. For starters, a Sim is rough sleeping on a mossy patch on the right, which tracks with the idea of natural living. Gnomes are a mainstay of basically every teaser we’ve seen so far. And, plants are a big part of the branding, so it figures that the neighbourhoods would be luscious and green, too.
Perhaps most importantly, for a lot of you: the image shared by MoonshineSim very clearly shows fairies. Great, big, playable fairies with wings hanging off their backs.
So, this triptych might make a lot of the community very happy. Despite that, it’s worth keeping in mind that nothing in these images has been officially confirmed yet, and we haven’t seen the press release it came from. It doesn’t mean it’s not true – a lot of leaks have happened so far, and most speculation has turned out to be true – it just means we should hold onto our excitement until we know for sure.
