With the release of Enchanted by Nature right around the corner, there’s a huge amount to be excited for. Be that the ongoing Nature’s Calling event, the return of Plant Sims, or the fantastic additions already in the pre-expansion patch [<link to patch story here when live]! But now we’ve got an even greater glimpse behind the scenes at new, major NPC Sims you’ll meet in Enchanted by Nature.
The Call of the Wild
The main stars here are none other than Mother Nature herself and her paramour Spruce Almighty (*groan*). Long story short, these two were once happily married before an event known as The Gnome Wars saw the titular short garden ornaments attack the Sims of Innisgreen in Spruce’s name. Naturally, Mother Nature’s fairies came to their defence, and the gnomes were turned inanimate as punishment.
Now, although Spruce Almighty yearns (or should that be pines?) for Mother Nature the two remain separated. Although according to EA the relationship between the two remains ‘complicated’ so to speak. But I reckon Spruce might have something to do with the recent PlantSim news.
Gnome Chompsky
Speaking of gnomes, keep an eye out for Glen Nhoam (*groan*) who is an enthusiast for the little creatures-slash-statues. He’ll help you to grow your garden or sell you a gnome, and apparently even has plans to awaken the Great Gnome that now stands in the Town Square of Innisgreen.
Repeat Appearance
Elric DeMuray and Todd Attenberry are two romantically-linked Sims who make an appearance in the expansion. And Todd may be better known to fans as Apothecary Todd from The Sims: Makin’ Magic! He’ll help out with sending you on elixir and alchemy-related quests, while Elric is a fairy by birth and adds a touch of the mystic to their relationship.
Trailer Tracks
We also now seem to have the name of the eponymous red-headed girl in the Enchanted by Nature trailer. Iris Lapido left her parent’s tech-heavy home beside and moved into the enchanted forest of Everdew, taking refuge with the fairy Nadyya Kishka. Could the two’s budding friendship blossom into something more (plant puns unintended).
Nadya’s own ex, Joe Trader (*GROAN*) is the Grove’s local tradesman, and while forming a bond with him may come with its own problems (or even Ailments) he’s a lot sweeter than he seems and is happy to help out with quests or trades with goods that may have fallen off the back of a fairy truck.or even Ailments, but the reward may be sweeter than expected. Find out for yourself!
Fairly Odd Parents
In terms of family drama we’ve got the the Summerdreams. While wife Titania is a free spirit her husband Oberon hopes to settle down and make a name for the family in the local community. Both at least share a love for their young daughter Mara, who is yet to earn her wings but is still eager to one day become Queen of the Fairies.
Last things last
Finally, we’ve got two helpful characters with the first being Care Ren, the liaison for the Fairy Council. While she may look bone chilling she’s actually sweet enough, so long as you stay on her good side. On the opposite end of the spectrum is Zhaleh Amani, an elder fairy respected in the community and another questgiver, you can find her buzzing around the forest.
Phew, and that’s just a snapshot of all there is to do in Innisgreen and beyond! So if you’re planning on jumping headfirst into all the fairy fun, be sure to stuff your copy of The Sims 4 with even more enchanted stuff.
