As we head into the weekend it seems only fitting we get a nice new kit to tide us over for more expansions. I certainly hope you like autumnal, brown and beige colours though! Because The Sims 4’s new Autumn Apparel kit is definitely what it says on the tin.
Pumpkin spice and scary movies
Alright, alright, jokes aside. Autumn Apparel is what you’d expect. We’ve got sweaters, we’ve got jackets, and we’ve got possibly the most annoying looking hat I’ve ever seen. Seriously, something about this Inspector Gadget-looking thing just gets my goat.
But outside of that it’s quite nice stuff. Autumn is one of those seasons that despite being so short demands a very distinct wardrobe from summer or winter. And both beanie and scarf combos offer what you need to keep out the chill without overheating.
Winter is coming
It’s certainly ironic that we’re getting an autumn kit right after the release of Adventure Awaits, which has an unabashedly summer-centric theme. But at the same time I suppose this fits the purpose of kits in filling the gap between major releases.
Personally speaking I’ve never been one to customise my wardrobe depending on the season. At least not beyond the obvious physical necessities. But at the same time I can certainly see the appeal in warm autumnal colours that fit the time when leaves fall and jack-o’-lanterns fill the streets.
Certainly I’d be remiss not to remind everyone that the spookiest time of year is upon us. So it’s well worth digging into our list of the best Halloween decor in The Sims 4 for some of our top suggestions!
