The Sim Your Summer series has already borne plenty of fruit, be that the upcoming Enchanted by Nature expansion pack or numerous other upcoming base game updates. And outside of The Sims 4 we also have The Sims Freeplay’s Make a Splash update now available on mobile!

Make a splash!

This update is absolutely jam-packed with content. Not only will you be able to enjoy the new Risk it for the Brisket SimChase arriving on July 8th, but there’s also the SimTown Pride Party Craft Challenge available until June 21st, and Pool’s Out for Summer?! Influence Island event starting June 23rd too!

Oh, and for those of you worried about Burglars, now is the time to turn the tables. The new Influence Island event Currency Heist is available until June 17th, with a whopping one-million Simoleons on the line as you filch from the thieves. And there’s some additional LP and SP along the way to nab too.

Yes, events and other limited-time challenges are the name of the game in the Make a Splash update. But there’s some permanent additions too! Rocky Heights is expanding with its second neighbourhood, the Dutch-inspired Breezy Fields which offers tulip-soaked flower fields, four house lots, a neighbourhood landmark and other additions such as the tractor decor item.

We’re all going on a summer holiday

But the Make a Splash update, as it turns out, is only the tip of the metaphorical iceberg. An all-new series called Summer Vacation is here, promising that your Sims will get the chance to explore gorgeous vacation spots. That is, before the inevitable return to reality, school, and work, of course.
But while Project Rene looks to usurp The Sims mainstay on mobile, it makes sense why Freeplay still rules the roost. After all, even 25 years on The Sims continues to drive EA’s financial success on mobile, PC and beyond.
