Sharpen up your Simlish with The Sims’ new card game

A Child Sim sat playing a card game in The Sims 4: Adventure Awaits, surrounded by Voidcritters posters and toys.

In case you weren’t satisfied with The Sims Board Game’s recent leap from monitor to tabletop, then very soon you’ll be able to add another tie-in to your games cabinet. Meet The Sims YaGoBuGi: a conversation-based card game centred around all things Sims.

Talk may be cheap, but in the latest collaboration between EA and Goliath Games, you’re going to need to be spectacular at Simlish to earn as many Simoleons as you can. Try saying that fast three times.

As you play, you’ll find yourself building Simlish worlds syllable by syllable, mixing and matching them with all kinds of creative outcomes. The longer the word, the more Simoleons you’ll rack up – and the better your chances are of winning. Even better yet, be the one to coin YA-GO-BU-GI, and you may as well have won the lottery.

We don’t know all that much about YaGoBuGi just yet, but we do know a few things. Here’s what we’ve heard so far.

Who can play, and what are the minimum and maximum number of players?

The Sims YaGoBuGi is appropriate for those aged eight and up. Which is probably roughly the age a lot of us were when we first started accidentally leaving Sims to drown in the pool.

Or maybe I’m just projecting.

You can play YaGoBuGi with three to six players, making it a solid choice for medium-sized groups. If you’re looking for something that supports smaller groups, then The Sims Board Game might be more your pace.

What’s included?

YaGoBugi comes loaded with Simlish cards, alongside assorted tokens of various sizes. This includes three differently coloured Simoleon tokens, worth five, ten, and twenty Simoleons respectively.

It also comes wrapped up in cute themed packaging, complete with Freezer Bunny, gnomes, and the humble Cowplant.

When does The Sims YaGoBuGi come out, and where can I buy it?

Goliath Games’ upcoming Sims collaboration arrives in the United States in early December. We don’t know exactly when it’s set to hit the shelves internationally, but thanks to Global Toy News, we know it’ll be sometime in 2026.

The Sims YaGoBuGi is priced at $14.99 on Amazon US, and is available for pre-order. This listing states it’ll be available on December 1st, but a press release shared with The Sims Community suggests it will be released on December 6th. So, if you pre-order it, be prepared that it might arrive a little sooner (or later) than planned.

Amazon is the only retailer that has YaGoBuGi listed so far. But if The Sims Board Game is anything to go by, then it should also be available from other outlets eventually.
