Inzoi reveals details of upcoming June update: Major changes to romance

With Inzoi’s release we’ve had new competition in the life sim genre since, well, since forever. But while Inzoi boasts lush graphics and some bold new AI-powered features it’s still only in early access, fortunately Inzoi has revealed details of the upcoming June update which may help push it further to parity with The Sims 4.

Summer lovin’

Probably the biggest change will be the introduction of new options for romance. Teenage Zois can now interact and romance one another. Meanwhile romantic relations for any age group can now include same-sex couples (or ‘any other Zoi in the city’ specifically); which can be enabled via the ‘Change Gender Identity Button’.

Happy Families

Beyond that, Zois who are in a relationship but aren’t married will now be able to have children. This includes a new option, adoption, which lets them adopt a child. Originally this feature was reportedly intended to have a number of prerequisites but for the moment it’s been made far more open, with no indication this will change.

Mixed messages

If you’re looking to make connections but can’t get face to face your Zois can now send text messages to communicate with each other. This also confirms that custom messages will be introduced at some point, but for the moment it’s mainly a function to help your Zois develop their relationships.

There’s also plenty of miscellaneous additions to Inzoi in this update; such as Cheats, UI size settings and other minor quality-of-life changes. But overall the addition of romance and more options for it will be a major game-changer, especially considering one of the main appeals of life sims is watching your character’s relationships develop and change.
