Been too hot IRL to hit sunny San Sequoia lately? Well, thanks to Goliath Games, you won’t have to completely miss out on the Sim Your Summer season just because you’re worried about your PC heating up your living room. Get ready for The Sims Board Game, which is hitting the shelves this summer.

How to buy The Sims Board Game

Information about The Sims’ first venture into tabletop games has drifted around the internet for a few months now. Since it was first announced back in March, leaked catalogue images have given us a taste of what’s to come, followed by glimpses of the final product at the UK Games Expo.

We’ve also had a rough ballpark for its release since EA shared the summer The Sims’ road map. But, until now, we’ve not known when exactly to expect Bella Goth and Bob Pancakes to grace our coffee tables/kitchen counters/wherever you usually set up your board games.

When and where is The Sims Board Game being released?

The Sims Board Game has two release dates: One for the United Kingdom and another for the United States.

Pre-orders for UK-based Simmers are open now, with an arrival date of September 25th. Those based in the US can also pre-order, but can expect the game a little sooner, with the tabletop coming out on July 20th.

But I’m not based in the UK or US…

At the time of writing, the only listings are for the UK and US. That doesn’t mean it’ll stay that way, though. There isn’t currently a confirmed list of destinations where it’ll be available to purchase, so other listings could become available. Try not to despair (or start spending loads of money on importing it) yet just in case.

Where can I buy or pre-order it?

Listings for The Sims Board Game have appeared on Amazon UK and Target for those of you in the United States. They seem to be the only outlets that currently have the product listed, but others might follow suit, especially once it actually launches.

Am I going to need to use Motherlode?

No need to try and use cheat codes. The Sims Board Game isn’t set to be that steep. You can make The Sims Board Game yours for £19.99/$19.99.

The suitably Freezer Bunny-clad trailer gives us a quick look at a few things Goliath Games’ creation has to offer. Four friends share their Aspirations (or the cards they’re dealt, at least!) before the camera pans to reveal a few other features of the tabletop, including a stack of Iconic Sims cards and some rather cute Plumbob-themed counters.

This is probably the last look we’ll get until the game is out – or, until people get their hands on review copies. Don’t forget to turn the sound on to enjoy The Sims 2 music in its full glory.
