With the announcement of Enchanted by Nature, and a full-fledged gameplay trailer set to arrive on June 26th it isn’t surprising so many Sims fans are excited to see this expansion coming. With the return of fairies to the franchise being particularly intriguing. So we’ve got the Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature’s release date, details and all you need to know about the expansion!

Release Date & Early-bird Special

The Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature is slated for a release date of July 10th, and if you buy the expansion pack before August 10th you’ll be able to acquire the Lofty Leaf Pond, Luminous Mycena Lantern and Disguised Dwelling Fairy Home content for your garden.

What’s included?

The Enchanted by Nature expansion pack introduces the following new content (check out some of our other articles for a full, detailed breakdown of the content including new snippets as they come in!):

  • Natural Living Skill: This newly-introduced skill allows your Sim to live outdoors while still meeting all their bodily needs, allowing for a far more nature-friendly lifestyle. Perfect not just for ‘save the trees’ Sims but your more outdoorsy types too.
  • New Aspirations, Nature Nomad and Elixir Enthusiast: As it says on the tin, Nature Nomad is all about seeking out the natural world and living amongst it. Using the new Natural Living skill will help meet those needs. While Elixir Enthusiast is all about your Apothecary skill and developing cures to Ailments (more about that later).
  • Three new traits: Plant Lover, Mystical and Disruptive all offer new personality quirks for your Sim. Whether they’re a helpful herbalist or malevolent fey prankster.
  • Fairies: The headlining addition to this expansion allows you to become one of the fair folk! Develop your abilities to heal (or ‘harm’), with the Harmonious and Discordant fairy paths. Non-fairy Sims can also use some of these features with fairy dust to enchant plants, animate gnomes and more.
  • Ailments: As part of the expansion there’s also new Imbalance Ailments. Not always detrimental, you’ll need to turn to the Apothecary Table to find a Cure and refine your relevant skill to do so. There’s 8 new ailments and 14 recipes with fantastical effects. You can also take on the level 10 Naturopath career.
  • New town, Innisgreen: Split into three neighbourhoods, Innisgreen offers the waterfront town of Coast of Adhmor that’s gnome-focuused, Sprucederry Grove which is split between nature and urban areas, and finally the enchanted Everdew Forest which allows you to enjoy the more mystical aspects of this expansion pack.

Other details

You’ll want to keep your eye open as the month goes on, because there’s a lot more coming before the release of Enchanted by Nature. On June 24th the new Nature’s Calling event is likely to tease more of what to expect when the expansion arrives, while on June 26th the aforementioned gameplay trailer is set to release. Finally, July 1st will see a new, free, base game update, with another slated to arrive on August 19th.

There’s a lot to enjoy in this upcoming expansion pack. But if you can’t wait to get your fairy mitts on all the great content arriving why not check out The Sims Resource’s recently-released All Things Fairy Collection!
