EA surveys players in possible response to Inzoi success

By now you’ve probably noticed that we’ve started taking a closer look at Inzoi and all its various intricacies. I think that it’s pretty obvious virtually everyone who’s interested in the life sim genre has been asking the question of whether this will succeed The Sims. And it seems other has taken notice, as EA surveys players in possible response to Inzoi success.

The survey has since been pulled offline, probably because there’ve been more than enough responses. But apparently when it was live this survey covered more than 100 questions and virtually every aspect of either game.

It’s doubtful that EA are running scared of Inzoi, considering that The Sims 4 is well established while Inzoi is still in early access. However, undoubtedly The Sims 4 is showing its age simply by the fact that it’s now over a decade old.

What’s next?

The survey is likely to be used more to get a general idea of what, exactly, people think is missing from The Sims 4 that Inzoi offers and attempt to redress it. But I think it’s worth noting that the complex systems Inzoi promises and the graphical fidelity it offers are aspects that can’t be so easily addressed in The Sims 4.

At the same time, The Sims 4 also has significant advantages over Inzoi, not least of which is creator content. The amount of mods, custom content and more that’re available for The Sims 4 vastly outstrips Inzoi, of course even that’s a potential issue down the line as Inzoi also supports modding.

Either way, Inzoi could prove to be to The Sims 4 what Cities Skylines was to SimCity even as EA surveys players in possible response to Inzoi success. But either way it’ll have to compete with some of the amazing content that The Sims 4 already boasts of, for example, like those in our list of the top 10 best cat collars & costumes.
