Amidst all the hullabaloo around The Sims 4 and Businesses & Hobbies, it may be that you’ve forgotten there was at least one more major release coming in the motherlode season. Well, three actually, if you want to get technical. So here’s what we know about the upcoming Sims 4 Kits, arriving May 1st!
Who left all this lying around?
For a brief reminder, the three kits are arriving on May 1st as stated on the Motherlode season roadmap and are named: Restoration Workshop, Golden Years and Kitchen Clutter.
Clutter Kits (a name we’re using based on the aforementioned Everyday Clutter) can be somewhat contentious amongst fans because of their relatively small scale.
However, the other two kits and that third one are all very interestingly named. So with that in mind, here’s what I reckon we can surmise ahead of any official reveals before next week.
Restoration Workshop
This one is pretty straightforward, and indicates we’ll probably get some sort of tool-based kit focused around woodworking or carpentry. I’d wager that a toolbench or something like that, which you can use to liven up a woodworking-focused Sim or a purely cosmetic outdoors shed. Maybe we’ll even get lucky and have some ‘preloved’ furniture to represent the fruits of their labours?
Golden Years
Now, this is the most self-explanatory as Golden Years is obviously aimed at older Sims. I reckon we’ll get some stereotypically elderly items like wall decorations, embroidery or a nice easy chair. It’d be fun if we got a box of miscellaneous butterscotch sweets to liven up a table too.
Kitchen Clutter
Now this is probably the most interesting and indicative of names. However, Kitchen Clutter is very likely to follow the trend of the aforementioned controversial clutter kits. Used beaters, bowls and maybe a full dish rack for example, to make your kitchen look a little more lived in and a bit less sterile.
Regardless of what they contain, these kits look set to cap off the motherlode season, so I wouldn’t be surprised if you’re looking forward to them.
