It’s been a long road for Paralives and it’s about to get longer.
After six years of development, Paralives Studio revealed the release date: December 2025. We were finally getting close as November reaches the half-way point, but developer Alex Masse has announced a delay.
A big one.
When is Paralives coming out now?
The indie life sim is now coming out May 25th, 2026, according to an announcement from Masse and the team.
The long message states that it was a “difficult decision,” but after some consideration it seemed like the right thing to do for the growing community. While it initially seemed possible to polish the game for December, the broader playtest ahead of the Early Access release showed many bugs and a “lack of activities to do in town” that caused the delay.
“I started this project wanting it to be a fresh and indie take on the dollhouse life simulation genre,” Masse wrote, “which had not been tackled by many developers. I attribute this partly to the fact that a project like Paralives is a colossal task. life sims are really three games in one: an advanced and flexible build mode, a greatly customizable character creator, and a complex life simulation mode.”

While the team is proud of what they built over the past six years, it still needs “a bit more time” to be polished, particularly the simulation aspect.
“This will ensure that more players will be happy with the state of the game at launch when comparing it to other great life simulation games that sparked everyone’s love for the genre,” the message continued.
The response to the delay has actually been positive, with fans thanking the team for being transparent and communicating. While a delay is never exciting, taking in player feedback is a great sign for a game’s long-term success.
Meanwhile, fans can look forward to a 45-minute livestream featuring gameplay on Paralive’s YouTube channel on November 25th.
