The Sims 4 Businesses & Hobbies Trailer Shows Off Tattooing And Pottery

You might recall that recently, we covered a teaser for The Sims 4 that suggested some tattoo-related content was on its way. Now, the trailer’s up, and we can speak with more certainty on the topic. And it turns out the latest trailer for the Sims 4 wasn’t just about tattoos, but the recently-leaked Businesses & Hobbies expansion.

While we’ll delve into what we see in the trailer in a moment, it’s worth pointing out some all-important dates first. The Businesses & Hobbies expansion arrives on March 6th, with anyone who picks it up before April 16th netting themselves some Set Up Shop Digital content. And the last date to add to your diary is for the gameplay trailer, which comes out on February 18th.

So, what have we learned? Well, Businesses & Hobbies will allow your Sims to explore more business ventures from the comfort of their homes. Not only that, but you can hire employees once everything starts to take off, decide how much to charge, and generally make whatever rules take your fancy. Part of that includes setting various parts of your house to either, Residential, Public, or Employees Only. Necessary boundaries when running a business from home. I’m sure you’ll agree.

The Sims 4’s Businesses & Hobbies trailer revealed two new hobbies

That’s the business side of the expansion’s title, so what about the hobbies? Well, unsurprisingly, one of them is tattooing. Taking up this pursuit also allows you to design your own tats, using the newly added Tattoo Paint Tool. Does this mean I’ll be making childish drawings and permanently inking them onto Sims? Absolutely.

The second hobby, which also features prominently in The Sims 4’s Businesses & Hobbies trailer is pottery. Now, I’m not sure I’d want to try pottery in my own home given how messy it can be until your skills are up to snuff, but, feel free to do so at your own risk when the expansion arrives on March 6th.

For Stephen, the best way to escape the stresses and strains of real life is by helping his Sims battle through them. Do as I say, not as I do, my little friends.
