Can’t wait for Adventure Awaits? Or maybe you’re waiting to see how the Expansion shapes up before you pick it up for yourself? There’s another simulation game right around the corner that you might want to try to tide yourself over in the meantime.
Sorry, I’ll keep the aquatic puns to a minimum.
Waterpark Simulator is a new management sim where you can focus on building the best (or most unsafe) waterpark imaginable. It fits pretty nicely into the lineage of other titles like Powerwash Simulator and House Flipper, where you roam around in a first-person point of view, running your own business while maintaining property.
The simulator has proven popular, with Gamalytic estimating more than 200k sales at the time of writing. It’s been pretty well received, too, with an Overwhelmingly Positive rating on Steam. And, it’s also been making waves with streamers, with creators like RTGame and Jerma985 trying their hand at running the worst waterparks imaginable.
Sorry, I’m actually done with the puns now. For real.
Make a splash in your dream waterpark

As the name suggests, Waterpark Simulator’s primary focus is building and running your own waterpark. You can design custom waterslides with their modular building tools, craft and shape all kinds of different pools, and construct thrill rides for days.
At its heart, it’s a business management sim. Because of that, you’ll probably spend a lot of your time in-game smoothing out your park’s logistics.
You don’t just make money through an entry fee. You’re also responsible for trying to run the most profitable hotdog stand possible, while also dodging fines. In fact, you’re going to need to get really good at shepherding customers. You’d be surprised by how much they love to dive in the shallow end, landing you with hefty fines.

But underneath the business management aspects, the sandbox-style build mode adds a lot of depth to gameplay. This stands out to me as one aspect you’ll probably like if you love The Sims. Creating custom pools and attractions for customers to enjoy, and hopefully not ragdoll straight off, makes for a fun experience not altogether dissimilar from The Sims 4’s new custom playgrounds and the upcoming pool toys, like diving boards.
Waterpark Simulator will be especially up your street if, like me, you’re more interested in running Getaway venues than you are in visiting them. I don’t want to slide down slides! I want to build them!
Well, okay, maybe I want to slide down slides a little bit.
Waterpark Simulator is in early access now

You can grab Waterpark Simulator on Steam now. It’s currently in early access, meaning you’ll be able to pick it up for a reduced price of £9.99. After the early access period, it’s going to increase in price, but we don’t know by how much.
The devs anticipate that it’ll be in early access for the next nine to twelve months. During this time, the sim is set to change and develop in response to community feedback. Although it’s set to stick in early access for quite some time, you’ll be able to take advantage of an introductory offer of 20% off if you grab it before October 6th.
Don’t worry about gameplay feeling shallow courtesy of it being in early access. Besides the fact that there’s plenty of fun and chaos to be enjoyed, it also offers us a strong look at the simulator’s core loop. And, it gives you a chance to shape Waterpark Simulator’s future through the developers’ feedback system, which includes a Discord server.
