Two new kits have been announced for The Sims 4

Well, you wait weeks for a kit and two come at once. Alright we haven’t been waiting that long, but we certainly did cover the rumours of upcoming kits for The Sims 4 very presciently! Now, it seems that has all come to pass as two new kits have been announced for The Sims 4, with two creator kits, Grange Mudroom and Essential glam.

So, let’s dig into what we know about each.

Grange Mudroom (Peacemaker)

The is one is patently obvious considering that Peacemaker ic is well-known for their work on interior decorations and structural elements such as the recently released Screened-in Walls. But what’s a ‘mudroom’ when it’s at home?

Well, if you know your home history — or just play a lot of Call of Cthulhu like me — you’ll know that the mudroom was a common feature in many homes and is now making a comeback. Usually consisting of an alcove or other small area, it was for taking off coats and shoes before entering the house proper.

Naturally, this prevented outside dirt and other grossness, hence, mudroom. Now you’ll be able to add this chic feature to your Sim’s house with new decorations provided by Peacemaker.

Now those ARE some good-looking walls

Essential Glam (Crypticsim)

Are the contours of your Sim’s face always on point? Never a hint of eyeshadow out of place? Well, they may look good, but they could look better. At least that’s what Essential Glam seems to promise. This is much more straightforward as Crypticsim’s work has often focused on makeup and cosmetics.

Certainly anyone who’s willing to try and tackle translating the look of bonafide glam queen Beyonce into the world of The Sims has a lot of confidence in their custom content skills, with good reason.

So, between Grange Mudroom and Essential Glam you have a way to add a hint of new modern chic to your Sim’s home, while ensuring that when they do step out they’ll be looking their best. Keep an eye out for both Essential Glam and Grange Mudroom set to arrive August 21st!
