Need to get away from it all? Want to take in the great outdoors? Well you’re in luck, because the latest expansion for The Sims 4 is here with Adventure Awaits.
If you’re not already familiar with this highly anticipated new addition, let’s go over what’s included.
Adventure time, come on grab your Sims
The core addition here are Getaways. These activities see your Sim take a break that can range from a few days to longer, and be anything from full on relaxation to excitement and adventure. This includes the new Elimination Rules getaway that lets you engage in your own Sim version of Love Island.
Meanwhile, Child Sims will also benefit massively from these new getaways. You’ll be able to set the stage for their future development with formative moments that can influence them for the rest of their lives.
There’s also the addition of imaginary friends, playgrounds, new activities for child Sims, and more to make this a truly adventurous new addition.
Lean and green
If you’ve been getting tired of fantastical fairies, creepy vampires, or busy city streets then the three new neighbourhoods that make up Gibbi Point will be a welcome diversion. Wanderwood Wilds, Crystal Valley, and Jellyfish Junction offer their own getaways and natural wonders to explore.
If you’re looking to take a permanent break from the urban rush you can even embrace brand-new careers as a Park Worker, perhaps becoming a Park Ranger or Camp Counselor. And of course be sure to keep your eye out for the mysterious Plumbird while you’re at it.
Naturally, all of this is just the default experience. And with the ability to create your own custom venues and getaways you’ll be able to check the gallery in the coming days for all manner of new, creative spins by the Sims community on these new mechanics!
