Inzoi’s been up and down in terms of popularity over the past few months. Initially seemingly like quite a promising ‘Sims-killer’ it’s now been somewhat muted in reception. Mainly due to the fact it’s currently in early access with a number of missing features.
But Krafton still has big plans as Inzoi is set to come to PlayStation 5.
Inzoiment
Set to arrive on PlayStation 5 in the first half of 2026, this launch is far away. There are also plans to bring it to Xbox.
With Inzoi having passed over a million sales, while it may not quite have stolen The Sims 4’s throne, there’s certainly an audience for it.
Indeed, the relatively slow rollout of Inzoi (it’s only set to arrive on Mac come the 20th) can be attributed to why fans haven’t embraced it with as much gusto as expected. The Island Getaway DLC that’s set to arrive soon will, however, add in a suite of new mechanics as well as a suitably tropical environment for a change from the cityscape.
Console me
The move to bring Inzoi to console can be seen as a more direct counter to The Sims 4. What with that only being available on previous-gen consoles, with some functionality on the current gen being stripped back. It certainly suggests that by early 2026 Inzoi will be even more feature-rich.
However, the relatively slow rollout does seem to have curbed the hype train. While Island Getaway has brought some of it back, Krafton will have their work cut out to get the spotlight back on Inzoi for the new year.
That’s not to say that The Sims 4 is sitting pretty though. With TS5 on hold due to concerns fans are already invested in The Sims 4, new expansions may prove to add a bit too much bloat to our favourite life sim.
