Sul sul! The Sims team has just given us something to look forward to for the summer by sharing what’s in store over the next few months, including a roadmap for The Sims 4, updates to The Sims Freeplay, and… A fire-breathing cowplant?
The Sim Your Summer season starts on May 30th with a curiously titled livestream, and extends all the way into August with new content for The Sims 4. Let’s hope our computer fans don’t give up in the heat, eh?
What to expect from the Sim Your Summer season

Whether you mainline The Sims 4 or freeplay, the announcement has some goodies for you, such as:
- An official livestream
- New The Sims 4 content
- Two updates to The Sims Freeplay
- A ‘summer shop drop’
- A Sims-themed board game
It’s tough to say exactly what all of these things are going to include, but it’s going to be a lot of content. The last time a season was announced it was the Motherlode season, which brought us the releases of The Sims 1 & 2 Legacy Editions, Businesses & Hobbies, and a trio of kits that just finally dropped at the start of May.
Roadmaps that are specific to one generation of The Sims normally bring us more than just one piece of DLC. Back when Lovestruck arrived, it was a part of a much wider roadmap called the Season of Love. This one came with a couple of kits and some base game updates, alongside the Expansion. So, we can probably expect a few things to be announced when the June-August roadmap drops on June 5th.
Is Thee Sims livestream teasing a special guest?

So, the summer of fun starts in just a few days time with a livestream. The information’s pretty bare about that so far, and it’s entirely possible it’ll stay that way right up until they go live.
But the name of the livestream might hold an interesting clue about a potential collaborator or special guest. Does Hot Girl Summer ring a bell?
There’s a chance that Megan Thee Stallion might be involved in the stream or the coming season of events. It wouldn’t be the first time that The Sims partnered with celebrities, with Doja Cat having featured on the 25th Anniversary Stream and in subsequent Expansion Pack content for Businesses & Hobbies. And, Meg has just recently launched a swimwear range, which seems to tie in nicely with the season’s theme.
So, it doesn’t seem totally outside of the realms of possibility that she could make a special appearance or be involved in some way. Or at least, we can hope so, right?!
