FKA Twigs joins The Sims 4 with new Simlish version of ‘Perfect Stranger’

Ah, simlish, that garbled collection of vowels that sounds like every language at once was put into a blender and someone hit ‘puree.’ But, it’s far from mere nonsense. In-fact it’s not unusual to see musicians bring some of their hits into The Sims franchise rendered in simlish itself! As is the case as award-nominated artist FKA Twigs joins The Sims 4.

Yes, rather fittingly, FKA Twigs new music video for their song ‘Perfect Stranger’ takes place entirely in The Sims 4’s newest expansion Enchanted by Nature. And entirely in the fictional language of simlish at that!

With a little bit of dramatic flair Twigs is rendered as an in-game Sim on their own adventure in the world of Innisgreen, complete with fairy wings and magic flying around.

While simlish may not win any awards for ‘most beautiful conlang,’ it’s undoubtedly catchy. And FKA Twigs is joining a surprisingly storied amount of artists, such as the Black-eyed Peas and Katy Perry, that’ve made appearances in The Sims franchise with in-game versions of their most famous hits in this strange yet enchanting language.

Camping Out

Yes, there may be a little bit of the camp factor here. After all FKA Twigs’ original song about a fly-by-night affair with the titular ‘Perfect Stranger’ is certainly one that sounds just a little funnier when rendered in simlish. But at the same time, fans of The Sims and FKA Twigs will certainly love this perfectly aligned crossover.

Simlish may not have any actual translation to real-world languages, but it undoubtedly rolls off the tongue. Who knows what other artist we’ll see make an appearance?
