Simmers, there’s been a leak! And there are pictures!
There have been multiple leaks regarding the upcoming expansion leading up to this point. From what we know – nothing official, of course – the expansion is called Adventure Awaits and we should expect it to be here in October 2025.
Adventure Awaits expansion images leak
Our friends over at Sims Community got a hold of some photos from Adventure Awaits, sent to them by email from an anonymous source.
First, we got a look at the cover art. Right away, we get a sense that the adventure is very outdoorsy. There’s a kid doing archery, butterflies abound, a woman in workout clothes, and a very mountainous backdrop.

There were also three leaked images from the gameplay. One image has adult Sims flirting outside at a gathering of some sort. Maybe it’s some type of mixer, although one lone woman looks very sassy and judgmental. The second image has Sims hanging out at a gym, lifting weights and cycling. The third image looks like kids at a summer camp, complete with bunk beds and what appears to (hopefully) be a camp counselor.
We may hear more on September 4
The leaker didn’t only bring pictures; they also claimed that official news is coming on September 4th. This will hopefully be followed by a gameplay trailer on September 10th. There will also be some sort of update on September 23rd and then the release on October 2nd.
I know we keep discussing expansion bloat and how all these constant updates are not fully making up for a lack of The Sims 5. However, we can’t help but be a bit excited about the possibilities of Adventure Awaits (since we have nothing else to look forward to in terms of a new game or anything).
Camping and more outdoor activities seems like a great addition to the base game. A survey last year revealed that a lot of us want more camping myths and even creatures.
We will only have to wait a few days to see if Adventure Awaits is good or bad for the game. We’re crossing our fingers.
