With the launch of Enchanted by Nature, fans are finally getting their hands on some major new additions to The Sims 4. Be that the return of fairies, updates for plant Sims and a suite of new additions for both purchasers of the expansion and those playing the base game game.
In fact, it’s such big news you may not’ve noticed a quick but crucial patch that hit platforms on Thursday right before Enchanted by Nature was rolled out. So if you’ve been struggling with some of these issues, take a quick look through, and check out the new expansion!
Patchwork
To start we’ve got the rather broad mention of stability fixes for console. Nice to have, but not essential. However there’s plenty of more crucial fixes some of you may’ve noticed already, for example:
- Dragging spoiled items from Object & Sim Inventories to the sink and trash has been restored. Always good for more precise control of your Sim’s inventory.
- Sharing is Caring Whiteboard can now be placed again.
- Plants will maintain their names and info if placed as part of a Lot from the Gallery.
- Household members that have custom painting and placed via Manage Households no longer lose their texture. Very important considering the number of customisation options for fairies.
- Seed Packets from Gnomes can be placed into your Sim’s inventory with the Put In Inventory command.
And last but certainly not least…
- Gnomes will stop wiggling, jumping and shaking after being placed from Build Mode!
While relatively minor individually, overall these changes are pretty key to some of the big mechanics being added and tweaks being made in Enchanted by Nature. So here’s hoping if anything else does crop up there’s plenty of groundwork laid down for future fixes quickly done while players get to grips with Enchanted by Nature.
