The Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature is out now

Well, it’s finally here, and I think that this is one of the most anticipated expansion packs in recent memory. Enchanted by Nature is out now, available on a storefront near you, and brings a host of brand new additions and changes to The Sims 4! So, what’s included? Well, here’s a brief rundown.

Mystic Mischief

The headlining addition here is the return of fairies, a fan favourite of The Sims franchise but which have only now followed their cousins the vampires and werewolves in joining the fun. In Enchanted by Nature you’ll be able to guide your Sim in their pursuit of magic, eventually transforming them into a fairy themselves.

As a fairy you’ll have new needs to fulfill, requiring you to feed off the emotions of others, be that positive or negative. Similarly, you’ll have the chance to use your newfound magical powers for either good or ill by following either the Harmonious or Discordant fairy paths.

Natural Living

Enchanted by Nature also introduces the ability to sleep out of doors and enjoy a new life under the stars, come rain or shine. You’ll be able to adapt to a new au naturale lifestyle with the Natural Living skill. Or you can stay indoors and enjoy all the modern conveniences, while utilising the new Apothecary skill to help cure Sims of strange new Ailments that can affect them.

Further Afield

Naturally, it wouldn’t be an expansion without a brand-new themed area to plop your Sims into, and now new mystically-inclined Sims can explore Innisgreen. Once the site of the legendary Gnome Wars (seriously), Innisgreen now plays host to a quiet waterfront town, rural village and magical forest for you to explore and settle in.

You’ll be able to meet a host of new NPC Sims that will offer you quests, advice in engaging with the newfound features of the expansion, or just offer further drama for you to become embroiled in.

So whether it’s fairy mirth (or mischief), the reintroduction of Plant Sims or the debut of brand-new build items in the most recent patch, it’s well worth taking a gander at our in-depth breakdown of the gameplay for Enchanted by Nature to see if it’s for you!
